Your Brain and Eating Less (click here to see article)

A lot of us wonder why we get cravings so often. Scientists have explored the brain and how it effects our cravings for food or certain types of foods. Check out this article I discovered. It explains the 2 primary hormones that influence hunger by sending messages back and forth from the brain to your stomach and back. Hopefully the information they've provided will help you understand why certain foods are important to implement into your diet in order to lose weight. Good luck!!

Welcome

If you have a diet plan that works, especially if you had trouble losing weight and found a way to shed those pounds and maintain it, please share your success.

There are many different ways to approach shedding those extra pounds. Managing the type of foods you eat and incorporating exercise into your daily schedule is all part of the weight loss routine. It can be a difficult process and I congratulate those of you who have found a diet that works for them. When providing information about your diet plan, please include the following information:
  • Age, Sex, Weight
  • Meal plan including snacks.
  • Name of a diet weight loss program such as Atkins or Nutri-system.
  • Your exercise routine. (How many hours and days per week.)
  • Optional: If you have a chronic condition such as diabetes, mentioning this could benefit others who also have the same condition and have trouble losing weight.
You may add additional information, but the information above, I believe, will provide a general idea about your diet and exercise routine for others who are interested in attempting the same routine.

For those who are interested in trying a diet plan you see from a post that works for someone else, it is best to talk to your doctor before you begin a diet regimen, especially if you have a chronic condition that requires restrictions from certain foods and even exercise. "Diet and Exercise My Way" allows people to share their positive results from dieting their way. Keep in mind everyone is different. For example, as we age, our metabolism slows down making diet and exercise more challenging.

I'm hoping the success stories that are shared on this blog will provide tools along with motivation for those who have trouble losing weight. This blog was created purposely for that reason. Click on "comments" to post.
